My Doula Journey...
Sitchler birth - Feb 2017 11.jpg

Hi! I’m Amanda DiCianni, wife of an amazing husband, mom of 5 precious kiddos, and a doula for North Texas including Keller, Ft Worth, and the surrounding areas. In 2006, my husband and I welcomed our first child, Nicolas, into the world and have since added 4 more to our wild and crazy family. I chose to give birth to all of my children at home with the assistance of a midwife and my husband happened to catch two of them!

After 5 births of my own and each of my labors being very different, I quickly became a resource for my friends and acquaintances. It was then that I began to realize my passion and love for pregnancy, expecting moms, and the birth process.

I am a certified doula with DONA Int'l as well as a certified Stillbirthday doula who is always seeking out more information so that I can help my clients better. I believe learning is something that never ends and I love learning new skills and techniques that can bring my clients comfort and potentially shorten labor.

I believe every child is a gift and their passage into this world should be both cherished and celebrated. I would love the opportunity to meet you and walk with you along this journey!

If you really want to get to know me, you should know...

I am a barbeque snob. And Oklahoma barbeque is the best!  I might be biased since I grew up there.

I love to travel and have traveled to Mexico, Russia, Honduras, Ecuador, Egypt, Uganda, South Sudan, Jamaica, England, Germany, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Ireland, and Israel, just to name a few.  My travels have given me an appreciation for and the ability to work with clients of all variety of backgrounds.

My hobbies are quilting and scrapbooking.

Indian food is one of my favorites (right behind Oklahoma BBQ, of course).

Newest favorite desserts are tiramisu and molten lava cakes.

I hate tomatoes!

And what does this have to do with being a doula? Nothing. Nothing at all! But I hope to learn about you so I thought I would tell you a little about me.
